Pharaoh Enhancement Pack & Cleopatra Patch

When I attempt to install the 'si_pharaoh_enhancepack_en.exe' it says:
The file 'E:SIERRAPharaohmission1.pak' is not a valid previous version and could not be upgraded.
I have the Cleopatra expansion installed.
When I attempt to install the 'si_pharaoh-cleopatra_update_en_20_21.exe' it says:
The file 'E:SIERRAPharaohSierra.inf' is not a valid previous version and could not be upgraded.
If I have Cleopatra installed, do I not need either of these?

When you have Cleo installed, you need the second, but not the first. Cleo is Pharaoh 2.0, and there is an 2.1 update for the UK and the US version. Be sure you use the correct one. Some players have mentioned problems with updating a Cleo version from Sold Out, others mentioned that a working patch was included. If you search this and the Tech forum you will find several threads discussing the issue, including manual editing of the Sierre.inf file.

Hi jeremyofmany, welcome to Pharaoh Heaven.
Check your Cleopatra version by (within the game) clicking on 'Help' then 'About'. If you have version 2.1 then your Cleopatra is already patched. If you have version 2.0 then it needs to be patched. You could either follow joshofet's suggestion of searching this forum and the Technical forum or repost your problem on the Technical forum.

The sierra.inf says:
[Ident]
Version=1.2.0.0
PatchVersion=1.2.0.0
I do not have any file that tells me which version Cleopatra is.

I don't think you have Cleo installed. What does it say in help > about? Do you have a legitimate version?

Yes, I do have Cleopatra installed and yes I do have a legitimate copy.

Speysider, please pay attention to what has been posted, which might help you avoid making silly comments.
At the time that joshofet posted reply #5, the only information we had was 1) the opening post said that Cleopatra was installed, and 2) reply #4 said that in the sierra.inf file, both Version and PatchVersion were 1.2.0.0. Version 1.2 is the latest non-Cleopatra Pharaoh. It isn't unreasonable to suspect that Cleopatra might not be installed, given that information. And since, at that time, jeremyofmany had ignored my suggestion of checking Help->About, it was reasonable for joshofet to emphasize that we wanted to know the actual version number of the game.
Also, examine the second picture of reply #6. It shows the Help->About screen, which was there long before your post.
Sigh.

OK jeremy, just trying to eliminate options, your E:-disk put me on that track. Sorry. You just need the 2.1 patch and seeing your disks I do think you have the right one. Look in this thread.

Brugle, your negative comments are not necessary. Not everyone is an expert and is just trying to help.
A lot of time would have been saved by just advising how to edit the .INF file as I figured would be necessary anyway.
I've been a computer technician for about 5 years now and specialize in software issues, Windows issues, and manually editing files as necessary.
Cleopatra now reads as 2.1.
My concern is when to run the Pharaoh Enhancement Pack? It sounds like I would need to install Pharaoh, manually edit the INF file, install the Enhancement Pack, install Cleopatra, manually edit the INF file and install the update file (as I did).
